Unfortunately the second sun will not be able to constantly illuminate the night sky as the planet needs to continue through its orbit and can't stay in one place forever. The two stars should be relatively far apart from one another so a planet can have a stable orbit in the habitable zone that passes between them. The second star will be the larger one, but keep it below 1.5 solar masses as beyond this stars start to have lifespans too short for intelligent life to evolve. This one should be between ~1.2 and ~0.4 solar masses, and will be the smaller of the two. ![]() ![]() ![]() Your first star should be the one that your planet orbits. What you're describing sounds like an S-type binary system, where a planet orbits one of the stars in a binary system as opposed to their barycentre like in an ordinary P-type system.
